The Áo dài is a traditional clothes of Vietnam. The word ao dài means long dress or long tunic. Vietnamese people wear áo dài on special occasions such as formal ceremonies, at school or as casual wear. Áo dài can be found in anypart of Vietnam and in overseas Vietnamese communities.
A modern áo dài has two part: a high collar, long and loosely fitting dress; and a trousers which reach to ankles. Ao dais for women have usually colorful designs of with flowers, birds, pictures, etc. ;while ao dais for men are simplier, they have litle designs or plain color. Because tunics are usually made of transparent fabrics, people who wear ao dai should wear underwear ( áo yếm or áo lá for women; áo lá for men).
The price of áo dài is reasonable, sometime maybe expensive depends on fabrics.
