Acheulean handaxe from Ethiopia, taken from US government site and therefore public domain in US

'A stone tool from the Kibish formation. The tool was found near the town of Kibish, location of the archaeology dig where human bones believed to be 195,000 years old were discovered along the Omo River in southern Ethiopia. The bones are nearly 40,000 years older than skulls from Herto, Ethiopia, the previous record holders. The team of archaeologists that led the National Science Foundation-supported dig included Ian McDougall of Australian National University, Frank Brown of the University of Utah and John Fleagle of Stony Brook University.
