An apostle is a messenger and ambassador.

Apostle and The Apostles can mean:

  • The term used in the New Testament that means "sent one" or "one on a mission".
    • Another definition is a follower of Jesus before his death, and an eye-witness of him afterwards [1].
  • A very influential leader of a movement in history "he was an Apostle of the civil rights movement"
  • The Twelve Apostles, the 12 followers of Jesus given "the Great Commission".
