A first cousin is someone who shares the same grandparent. A second cousin is someone who shares the same great grandparent A third cousin is someone who shares the same great great grandparent etc.
A second cousin one removed is your second cousin but one generattion up (i.e. their parent) Each time it is removed once, you go one generation up. Josh (talk) 17:21, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
