Kansas City is the biggest city in the U.S. state of Missouri. The city has about 448,000 people, and the entire metroplitan area has about 2,000,000 people. Kansas City is an important business center because it is in the middle of the United States. Its mayor is Mark Funkhouser. Some sports teams there are the Royals (baseball), the Chiefs (American football), and the Wizards (soccer).
