Hello, Simple tank, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! I hope you will be happy helping here. Even though it is a good idea to research an article (like looking at the discussion page) before making large changes, please be bold and try! Any changes you make that are not perfect can be fixed later. We are also working most on core articles and the most common topics until this Wikipedia grows.
If you want to ask a question or talk with other members, you can visit our version of the "village pump" at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Administrators on Wikipedia can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. You should always sign your messages on Talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

[change] Short articles/Categories

Hey there, Simple tank! Here are a few good pointers that you can use to help in the creation of articles that you might do in the future:

  • If the article that you created is under 1,000 bytes, please include the {{stub}} template into the article near the end (below the Other websites, but above the interwikis (detailed below)). This will let other editors know that it is a short article that is in need of expansion.
  • If you have no idea what categories an article that you create goes under, please include the {{uncat}} template to the article. This will let other editors know that you need help categorizing an article appropriately.
  • Please remember to include interwikis at the bottom of an article. This will enable users to go between the many different Wikipedias that are in existance to check information and possibly add new information to the article here. It's mostly a convience thing.
