Description

Diese Skizze zeigt die Bauwerkhöhe bis zur Spitze des höchsten Gebäudeteiles des jeweiligen Gebäudes. Wird vom Erdboden bis zum höchsten Punkt gemessen, so ist der Sears Tower das Höchste Gebäude der Welt. Da jedoch die Antennen nicht als Teil der Bauwerkstruktur angesehen werden, ist das Sears Tower Gebäude kürzer als das Taipei 101. Hält man sich an die Gebäudehöhen-Messmethode bei der dekorative Elemente gezählt werden nicht jedoch Antennen, so ist die Reihenfolge der höchsten Gebäude wie folgt: Taipei 101, Petronas Towers und danach der Sears Tower gefolgt vom Jin Mao Tower. Der Sears Tower hat die meisten Stockwerke (109 Stück) und ein höheres Dach als die Petronas Towers. Nicht in der Skizze enthalten: Das derzeit im Bau befindliche Burj_Dubai übertrifft bereits jetzt schon alle anderen Gebäude dieser Welt. Nach Fertigstellung soll die Höhe 818 m (2683ft) betragen.
