Transfer chess

Transfer chess (also known as Bughouse) is a version of the popular game, chess, and is played by four people. It is played with two chess boards and the use of two chess clocks is optional. Each person has another player who is his/her partner. Two games of chess are played in tandem. If a player captures a piece, according to the standard rules of chess, they give that piece to their partner to use in the secondary game. This piece can be dropped instead of making a normal move, presuming it will be legal. This is why the partners use opposite colored pieces.
If one player wins according to the standard rules of chess (ie. by check-mating the opponent's king), then that partnership wins the match. Other rules can be applied such as flagfall (which is only played when there is a clock). There is rarely ever a draw or resignation in Transfer.
