Wendy Scurr is a nurse who has spent a long time helping people and a little more time pushing for her conspiracy theories about the worst crime in Australian history.

In 1996, she was working as a nurse at Port Arthur, Tasmania, Australia, which is a place that tourists come to visit. One day, on 28 April 1996, a man started shooting at people at the Broad Arrow Cafe. Wendy Scurr rushed in to see the man who was killing people and she called the police to tell them. Police did not believe her, so she told them to listen to the gun shots. Wendy Scurr has given a full account of what she observed on that day. Wendy Scurr thinks that the man who killing all of these people, Martin Bryant, is not the only person that killed the people. She has admitted that she never saw the shooter or the crime being committed. She just heard shots and went to the crimescene afterwards.

Wendy Scurr was very angry that Martin Bryant was arrested, because she says that the person that was killing people was a very good shooter who was very clever. She has formed a group with many other people that were at Port Arthur to make sure that people her own theory. Wendy Scurr has gone to talk to many people in wide groups, together with some policemen who were there, to show to try and see who can be convinced to believe her.

Walter Mikac's wife and 2 baby children were killed that day by Martin Bryant. The Australian people have expressed great compassion for Walter Mikac but have not attempted to suppress Wendy Scurr from theorising and speculating about who else could have killed his family.

One policeman that has helped Wendy Scurr is a man named Andrew MacGregor. An expert gunsmith that has helped Wendy Scurr is a man named Stewart Beattie. In addition, some confused people who were there have agreed to promote Wendy Scurr's speculation and theorising.

Wendy Scurr has attempted suicide in the past and has admitted the extent of her suffering as a mental patient and as a sufferer of mental illness. Even though he lost his family, Walter Mikac does not have mental illness like Wendy and, unlike her, he has never tried to kill himself and has started a new family and moved on with his life.
