[change] Welcome to Simple English Wikipedia

Hi Clarity, welcome to Simple English Wikipedia! Thank you for your changes. If you need help, check out the Help section of Wikipedia, or leave a message on my talk page. Whenever leaving messages on talk pages, please remember to sign your name by typing four 'tildes' (like this: ~~~~); doing this makes your name and the date show up. Also, it helps if you write something in the box that says 'edit summary' whenever you change an article. Below are some useful links to make your time here simpler. [change] Saving energy at home

Dear Clarity, I am sorry, but this is an encyclopedia, not an online guidebook. Saving energy at home is a nice guide. I like it, but this is unencyclopedic. I am sorry, but I will have to place it on a request for deletion. You can comment on it if you want to. I'm not discouraging you and I hope you understand. Cheers, new user!-- Tdxiang 04:09, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi and thanks for taking the time to explain that. I'm still getting used to this simple English thing. If given the chance I would like to modify the page, if that's OK, to make it more encyclopedic. -- Clarity 04:27, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
  • You see, Clarity, that this is an encyclopedia talking about definitions, words, people, food, culture and many more. To create a guide on how to do something is not recommended here and should be placed in Wikibooks. Nice guide anyway. We won't let it go to waste. We'll move it to Wikibooks. Okay?:)-- Tdxiang 09:10, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Yep, that's fine. Once again I appreciate your taking the time to explain things. -- Clarity 11:48, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

[change] Moved Saving energy at home to Wikibooks

Hello, Clarity. After the Discussion on the Requests for Deletion page, I have created an "article" Saving energy at home in Simple Wikibooks, at Energy conservation at home in Simple Wikibooks. I do not know if it is in the proper format for wikibooks, but it is certainly better off there than it is here. I have subsequently deleted the article here; I am open to discussions as to how we should redirect from here to here.--Eptalon 10:39, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi Eptalon. Thanks for your message, but I'm sure that you know much more about these things than I do... Eventually I would like to see a proper encyclopedic Energy conservation page here, as I think it is an important topic. -- Clarity 04:19, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
As said below by Tdxiang, there is noting wrong with a page on energy conservation. Fossil fuel depots, like that for crude oil will be depleted within 1-2 generations; right now, there are no real alternatives, except perhaps Nuclear energy, with all its problems. So a page on energy conservation is problably a good idea. However, I am not an export on Earth sciences, so do not count on me. :) --Eptalon 20:56, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
  • Now an energy coservation topic is alright. If you have any problems, just read our little guide here. Have fun!-- Tdxiang 09:19, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
