John George Terry is an English professional football player. He was born on December 7, 1980 in London. Terry plays as a defender and is the captain of both Chelsea in the English Premier League and the national football team of England.

Terry is known as one of the best defenders in the world. He was voted best defender in the UEFA Champions League in 2005. He was also the only English player to be named in the group of best players for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He wears the number 26 shirt for Chelsea and the number 6 shirt for England. It was john terry who missed the penalty which could have won the champions league 2008. He stepped up to clinch the title and slipped giving Manchester United the title. Some people feel sorry for him others believe it was karma. He is a big boy and will pick himself up .
