[change] SoxBot
It works! It just updated my status! Yay! Razorflame 02:43, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- It will be better if the bot is flagged! :) Chenzw Talk 02:44, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- It needs to be approved before it can be flagged :). Let us just have it run for a trial duration to see if it continues to work for several days. I don't think that we should be like, Oh! It works! Flag it now! We shouldn't have that kind of mentality. Let us bide our time to see if it continues to work. Cheers, Razorflame 02:45, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- Do you know the time of inactivity before the bot thinks you are offline? As this is a small wiki, the duration might need to be increased. Chenzw Talk 02:47, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- I believe it is currently set for a period of 4 or 5 minutes. Believe me, that is actually already quite long. The bot needs to account for someone who is just reading and not editing, or for someone who is just adding some kind of long response to an issue, like on the Administrators' noticeboard. All in all, I think it is fine at its current setting. And anyways, once it is flagged (which it is likely to get flagged), this won't matter. Cheers, Razorflame 02:49, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

(unindenting) Hmmm...it seems that after 8 edits, it still doesn't recognize me as on. Cheers, Razorflame 03:08, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- It recognises you now. I think the bot is started every 1 or 2 minutes by cron to check statuses. Chenzw Talk 03:09, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
[change] Request
Can you unprotect the May archive at WP:VIP so that I can archive the remainder of the May reports? Thanks in advance, Razorflame 02:52, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Done. Cheers, Razorflame 02:54, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
[change] Ban evasion
202.45.119.131 is 2 addresses off from 202.45.119.133 with the same article vandalized the same way. Wouldn't that be considered ban evasion? TransUtopian (talk) 05:27, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- Block evasion, you mean. I think it will be considered, so I will block the second IP for 3 hours. Chenzw Talk 05:31, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

[change] 202.45.119.131
Just wondering - i've seen 202.45.119.131 (talk • changes <deleted> • page moves • block user • block log) be a vandal again. I have once before, been assigned this IP, on a PC at my school. However, that IP has started again, and my school has a student free day today. Should I tag the school name as my school, or "Victorian Education Department", as I have a feeling it is shared by all schools in Victoria. -- Da Punk '95 talk 03:13, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well.. I am not so sure about that. It would be best to leave the template as that. Chenzw Talk 03:16, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

[change] Ip contribs
71.70.143.158 has put {{Link GA|en}} on all of his contribs, what do we do? It's not right. Thanks -- ApEtSIG 02:52, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- Edits reverted and a note left on the IP's talk page. Do you think we should put the template up for deletion? It was created yesterday by an anon. Chenzw Talk 03:00, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Why don't we use link GA many of the other wikis do? 71.70.143.158 (talk) 03:02, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not sure about the template, it wasn't showing anything on the page. It's not vandalism, just isn't right. I would think that we don't need it here, since we're are English also. Thanks -- ApEtSIG 03:05, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- I thought simple was different from en. I don't know much about templates to fix it, but it looks nice on other wikis. 71.70.143.158 (talk) 03:10, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well, it is different, but we still use English. I wouldn't really know about how to fix it either, but since we're both English, I don't think articles need it. Cheers -- ApEtSIG 03:14, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- Ok. I think I'll return to es wiki if decisions from en are automatic applied here. Not everyone is from en. Thank you. 71.70.143.158 (talk) 04:37, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
[change] Popups?
How do I make popups revert vandalism for me? I have it turned on, but it isn't working. Help? -- ApEtSIG 06:53, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- Firstly, hover your cursor over a (diff) link. You should see the popup, showing the diff.
- For IE: Find a link called "rv" and click on it.
- For Mozilla browsers: From the "Actions" menu, click "Revert".
Chenzw Talk 07:02, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- First of all, I mostly use Safari. It didn't work on revert, Safari said something like "revert by unknown at unknown time". I did purge it, and I'll do it again. Maybe I don't have Javascript right, I'm downloading one of those (I think). -- ApEtSIG 07:15, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
[change] Artical You just edited
I didn't notice how many spelling mistakes that person made =\
Running talk 03:49, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
[change] Thanks..
For protecting Marco Polo, that (and those bad IP's) took about an hour out of my night. But now I mush go to bed. Good-night -- ApEtSIG 06:55, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
[change] Support
Hey Chenzw, thanks for your support. What did you mean as a substitute for User:Lights by the way? The Rambling Man (talk) 13:45, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- Lights is a great vandal reverter, and reverts extremely quickly. Chenzw Talk 13:49, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- I gotcha... Thanks! The Rambling Man (talk) 13:54, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
[change] Help?
Do you know what the code is to auto close the "My Subpages" thing on my page. And also, do you know why every new section (Great Users, My Awards, etc.) keeps coming in a layer each time. I can't figure those out. Do you know? Thanks -- America †alk 05:28, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
- I have done the code for the auto-close function, but can't help for the divs and tables. I am a sucker for that. Chenzw Talk 05:49, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
- I'm going to bed. Good-night -- America †alk 05:52, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
[change] Adoption
Hello. I noticed you joined the above program. Do you think you can help me set it up? I already finished the userboxes but I need help with the different areas. Thanks, RyanCross (talk) 02:41, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- That was a little crazy. Anyway, so what do you think if the above comment. Can you help? -- RyanCross (talk) 09:33, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- I can help, but how should I start? Do I adapt it from the EN version of adoption? Chenzw Talk 09:35, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- Basically, yes. I've already done the userboxes.-- RyanCross (talk) 09:39, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- I can help, but how should I start? Do I adapt it from the EN version of adoption? Chenzw Talk 09:35, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
[change] Template:Ganzourgou
Some problem occurred with this template. The name of the villages are getting dispersed in the template. The same template in English Wikipedia is this. I cannot fix it. --Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 03:34, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think it is the template's problem. Appears to be something wrong with the navbox template. As this is a very complicated template, I do not know how to fix it. Please seek help somewhere else. Sorry. Chenzw Talk 03:52, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
[change] Blocking Vandalisers
I can see from the user's talk page that you have been constantly warning him not to vandalise. He is now creating a lot of nonsensical pages on people whom he knows. This user is 82.36.5.42. Can you block him immediately? Prime Contributer (talk) 11:57, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- He has only created one nonsense page today. That is not enough to warrant a block. Chenzw Talk 13:53, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- I watched the recent changes page and saw many nonsense pages yesterday. Another admin deleted them many? Prime Contributer (talk) 11:37, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
[change] RE: Redirects
Well, I did it (1) because en:WP had it redirecting there, and (2) so many times I've seen that someone, for example, will create Orly owl with the same content as the page it should redirect to, so all there work and time was wasted. And I just chose a random article and searched it here. Tell me if I was doing wrong, I was just trying to avoid wasted work. Thanks -- America †alk 02:16, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
[change] Review
Hi. I was hoping if you could review me. Thanks, RyanCross (talk) 02:29, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

[change] Email
You have an email. Regards, RyanCross (talk) 04:47, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
- I know it now (some remembering required). There is no absolute reason, I am just curious. Cheers, Chenzw Talk 04:50, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

[change] My vandalism reverting
Hello. I was wondering of what you thought of my reverting the past week. I just want to make sure I'm doing everything correctly in my short time here. -- Ryan†Cross (talk) 08:58, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- It is going very well. You might also want to look at our "gallery" of warning templates. The most common ones are test1, testx, etc., But there are also some other templates that can be used as the testx warnings aren't very good in some contexts. Chenzw Talk 09:04, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
-
- Oh, thanks for that "gallery". That could be helpful. I was actually thinking about making a few new ones. The discussion is here. Do you think the I should create them? -- Ryan†Cross (talk) 09:09, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
[change] Thanks...
I wish I never did that. Somewhere on those templates I cut something out, and I do not want to look for it. Just remember that my deleted edits is about seven too high :) I'm am nearing my 5,000 edit. Yay! If you remember when I started, my username was "America Needs Jesus," and if it had not been a controversy and been made to change, I wouldn't even still be editing. I also would have probably left the English Wikipedia also, for all I ever did was update my userpage. Anyway, thanks -- America †alk 05:25, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
[change] Request
AE copy and pasted Nike Inc. to Nike, Inc, which broke the edit history. could you delete the second article and then move Nike Inc. to the corrext title? Cassandra 07:23, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
Done - You have to copyedit the new article again as I made a mistake in the process, which caused your change to be lost :p Chenzw Talk 07:47, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
[change] List of Pokemon
Oh, darn, I was just about to do the same thing except on another wiki. May I help the cause some how. I actually do have some experience (that I remember) about Pokemon. -- RyanCross (talk) 10:18, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yes! Please help. I have some difficulties doing the simplification. Thanks in advance. Chenzw Talk 10:19, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- Your welcome. I just wanted to do this on another wiki so I don't have to have a high amount if user space edits. It's really up to you. What do you think? Should we simplify the lists here, or on another wiki we can test it at like Wikirights? I personally think we should do it there so we don't fill up recent changes, increase our user space edits, ect. Thoughts? -- RyanCross (talk) 10:24, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- No, we shouldn't do that. All editors must be mentioned in the page history to ensure compliance with the GFDL. Chenzw Talk 10:36, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I think your right. Okay, I'll try my best to simplify and copyedit the list(s). -- RyanCross (talk) 10:38, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- There is just one thing, though, I am not sure about. When we move the list to the mainspace, will the edits done in the history become mainspace edits? For example: I edit my sandbox in my userspace once, and then I move it to the mainspace (which I will never do :P), will that edit I made to the sandbox in userspace become a mainspace edit? -- RyanCross (talk) 10:44, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
